There are approximately 75 programs at this web site that include movies, T-shooters, Up-down Analyzers, and assorted tests for Electronic Principles, Seventh edition. The Download page lists all the programs available from this web site. There are programs for every chapter in the textbook as well as programs for the experiments in the laboratory manual.

Downloading the Launcher

The first program you should download is shown above as Launcher (75 K). The 75 K stands for 75 kilobytes, the compressed length of the program. To reduce downloading time, files are usually compressed to reduce their size. Downloaded files usually have to be decompressed after they are stored on your hard drive.

To download the Launcher, you have to
Go to the Download page.
Click once on Launcher (75 K).
After a brief interval, the window to the left will appear.

In this example, a folder called "temp" on your hard drive is used to receive the downloaded program.
If you do not have a temp folder, create one before downloading or use any other folder that is convenient.
If necessary, you change download folder by clicking on the down arrow to the right of "temp". Then scroll as needed until you locate the desired folder.
When you are ready to download, click the Save button. It usually takes less than a minute to download a typical program from this web site.

When the downloading is finished, a file called launcher.exe will be stored in the temp folder on your hard drive. Launcher.exe is a self-extracting file. Self-extracting means the file will decompress itself to its original size when you run it. To start the decompression, run Launcher.exe in any of the usual ways you start a program. For instance, here are three common ways:

Enter RUN c:\temp\launcher.exe on the Start Menu of Windows 95 or the File Menu of Windows 3.0.
Double-click the Launcher icon in the temp folder.
In the Windows Explorer view, double-click the file labeled Launcher.exe.

After you run Launcher.exe, the window to the left will appear.
